元大都城垣遗址公园，可称北京首座大型“露天博物馆”，也是北京最大的免费公园和规模最大的一片公共绿地，莺啼鸟啭，林木葱茏。它全长4．8公里，宽130米至160米，共67公顷，与海淀段连接起来，长达9公里，是北京城区内最大的带状公园，从飞机上俯瞰，真称得上是北京的“绿腰”了。公园计有10大景区，为城垣怀古、蓟门烟树、铁骑雄风、蓟草芬菲、银波得月、紫薇入画、大都建典、水关新意、鞍缰盛世、燕云牧歌。园内还有大型群雕“大都鼎盛”，共表现了19个著名元代人物，包括忽必烈、元妃、马可波罗、郭守敬、黄道婆等，个个性格鲜明，栩栩如生。

Yuan Dynasty City Wall Park is touted as the first and the largest “open air museum” in Beijing. It is also the biggest ticket-free park and has the largest grassland, with birds singing and trees flourishing. The park is divided into the Chaoyang section and the Haidian section. The Chaoyang section is 4.8 kilometers long and 130 to 160 meters wide and takes up an area of 67 hectares. If linked with the Haidian section, the park becomes the largest belt-shaped park in Beijing with a total length of 9 kilometers. Therefore, it is often nicknamed as the Green Belt of Beijing. Sight spots of Yuan Dynasty City Wall Park include Chengyuanhuaigu(remembering the past on the city wall), Jimenyanshu(foggy trees of Jimen), Tiejixiongfeng(awe-inspiring cavalry), Jicaofenfe(swirling thistle)i, Yinbodeyue(moon in the silver waters), Ziweiruhua(picturesque red rose), Dadujiandian(founding the capital city of Dadu), Shuiguanxiyi(a fresh view of water), Anjiangshengshi(saddle, rein and a prosperous time) and Yanyunmuge(pastoral Beijing). In the park, giant group statues of 19 historical figures like Kublai Khan, Imperial Concubine, Italian traveler Marco Polo, Guo Shoujing and Huang Daopo represent the “Prosperity of Dadu”.
